Why is it that some cultures thrive and expand while others seem unable to overcome poverty and strife? Is our planet “going to the dogs” or are we on the brink of an age of higher awareness? World Cultures and Consciousness presents an alternative history that examines individual cultures as well as planetary cycles of growth and decay. Individual research projects, publications and conference presentations are encouraged. Students receive opportunities to attend conferences and meet scientists and researchers leading their fields of study.

Students will have the opportunity to work with our special advisors, faculty and guest lecturers to develop advanced research projects relating to alternative history and ancient knowledge. The college works closely with the annual worldwide CPAK (Conference on Precession & Ancient Knowledge) to establish new areas of student research. Students will examine ancient indigenous cultures, unique historical sites throughout the world, and a variety of events and scientific discoveries that present emerging research on planetary evolution.

Ananda College offers advanced study in alternative history and cultures, the Vedic yuga cycles and ancient knowledge. A new book The Yugas: Keys to Understanding Our Hidden Past, Emerging Energy Age & Enlightened Future was recently co-authored by faculty member David Steinmetz and Joseph Selbie. Guest faculty and lecturers include forward-thinking archeologists, astronomers and scientists who bring our students new insights that are transforming the empirical record of history.
